Small Business Grant Information

The Story County Community Foundation awards the Small Business grants to encourage and to grow small businesses located in Story County, Iowa.

State the Specific Need the Grant Funds will Address.
What are the anticipated results of the project, and how will it impact the future of the business.
Timeline of the Project. Note that the project should be completed and a final report submitted before October 1st of the following year.
Budget: Include only the costs pertinent to the project. If other funding sources are included, list these sources and state the specific portion the SCCF grant funds would be used for.
Attach a copy of your IRS Designation Letter with your Federal EIN, Business Entity Documentation from the Iowa Secretary of State, or the Trade Name Document from the Story County Recorder.
Attach a list of staff along with contact information including email addresses.
Grant requests of up to $5,000 will be considered.

Applications must be submitted electronically using the Application Online Form below and received by 5:00 PM on Wednesday, September 24, 2025.

The project representative certifies that he/she is authorized to represent the organization applying for a grant and that the information contained in the application is accurate. He/she agrees that if a grant is awarded to the organization:

the grant will be used for the purpose outlined in the grant award letter and may not be expended for any other purpose without prior written approval from the Story County Community Foundation
the Story County Community Foundation has received nothing of material value in exchange for the grant
information about the organization and the grant may be used by the SCCF in any published material
